Reggae Artist Matisyahu Sings Along With Unsuspecting Fan

PAIA, Hawaii (CBS SF/AP) — A ukulele player at a Hawaii coffee shop sang the duet of a lifetime with reggae artist Matisyahu, all the while completely oblivious to his famous singing partner's identity.

Watch the video, here:

This was rad. This kid started singing Matisyahu's "One day" and didn't know that the artist was right in front of him. Watch the reveal at the end. He still didn't believe it was him and it took a second for it all to sink in. Loved this moment. #matisyahu #hawaii #oneday #paia #maui #mayjahrayjah Honolulu Coffee For licensing and usage, contact: licensing@viralhog.com

Matisyahu and his bassist Stu Brooks were getting coffee last week before heading to a Maui beach when they heard Kekoa Alama start strumming the singer's hit "One Day."

Brooks suggested Matisyahu sing along and started filming the impromptu duet. At the end, the Alama shakes Matisyahu's hand and tells him he has a beautiful voice.

That's when the clean-shaven Matisyahu, who sported a full beard at the height of his popularity, reveals his identity.

The stunned Alama was invited along to Matisyahu's concert.
