Rare Full Moon To Rise On Christmas For First Time Since 1977
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- Santa will have more than Rudolph's nose to guide his sleigh this Christmas. He'll get a little help from a rare full moon.
Only three full moons have graced the night sky on Christmas since 1900, and this will be the fourth.
The full moon will peak after 3 a.m., and there won't be another on Christmas day until 2034.
The last time a full moon showed up on Christmas was in 1977.
