Rams Coach Agrees With 49ers' Harbaugh: Refs Goofed With Super Bowl No-Call
ST. Louis, Missouri (CBS Sports) -- Perhaps a little NFC West loyalty is at play.
St. Louis Rams coach Jeff Fisher said the Baltimore Ravens' Jimmy Smith should have been called for pass interference on Michael Crabtree during the San Francisco 49ers' final offensive play of Super Bowl XLVII.
"I think that's called. I think you want that called," Fisher said on a radio interview this week in St. Louis. "I think that's a penalty."
A flag would have given the 49ers first-and-goal with 1:50 left, trailing 34-29.
San Francisco coach Jim Harbaugh was incensed, though former National Football League head of officials Mike Pereira said the officials did the right thing by swallowing their whistles.
