Raiders v. Titans Predictions: Oakland Set To Crush Tennessee On The Road
By Abraham Gutierrez
When the Oakland Raiders invade Nissan Stadium for a Week 12 showdown with the Tennessee Titans, most NFL predictions favor the Silver and Black to not only snap their three-game skid on the road, but more importantly, get it done by more than a safety. That's because most statistical trends indicate that Jack Del Rio's club will go into enemy territory and come away victorious.
To make that determination, there are a series of mathematical figures worth mentioning. The first one is in the head-to-head category, where the favorite is 7-1 in the last eight meetings between the Raiders and Titans. For what it's worth, more times than not, it has been a high scoring whenever the favorite has emerged victorious as they have superseded the point total in three of the last four times they have collided.
Reasons Why Raiders Will Win This Game
There's no question that Oakland appears to be poised to get back in the win column in Week 12 despite being away from the Easy Bay. It's almost unheard of that out of the four stats considered relevant in this matchup, three of them play into the Raiders favor.
First, there's the Raiders 5-1 record in their last six games against fellow American Football Conference foes. Then, there's Oakland's 6-2 mark in its last eight games after scoring less than 15 points the week prior. And finally, the Raiders own a 15-7 record in their last 22 games played after losing a game they were supposed to win.
As far as negatives go, there's only one statistic Raiders fans should be worried about, as this team tends to play down to the level of its competition, coming in 2-6 versus a team with a losing record.
Con-Titans Statistics In Week 12
Unlike the Raiders, Tennessee doesn't have the luxury of mathematical figures supporting the notion that they're equipped to conquer this opponent even at home. With their chances looking dim, the first piece of information to note is the Titans 19-39-4 record in their last 62 games overall, as well as their dismal 6-13 mark in their last 19 games after the offense has scored less than 15 points.
Adding insult to injury is the fact that the they haven't performed well versus fellow AFC foes. Tennessee comes in with a disappointing 15-33-4 record in that department. Finally, it's also worth taking into account that the Titans are 3-7 in its last 10 games following a close loss, along with a 2-6 mark in their last Week 12 games.
Raiders vs. Titans NFL Predictions: At the end of the day, all the statistics in the world cannot give NFL aficionados the security needed to pick a winning side with any certainty. However, when relevant data and knowledge meet, speculation decreases, as information, coupled with one's expertise, makes all the difference in these types of situations. For this game in particular, predicting a winner is pretty straightforward: Oakland struggles, and the way these teams match up almost guarantee that the Silver and Black will win this game by an ample margin even in their opponent's stadium. Tune in and watch the Raiders win this one going away.
