Raiders Expected To Acquire QB Flynn From Seahawks, Cut Palmer
OAKLAND (CBS Sports) -- The Oakland Raiders are expected to complete a trade for Seattle Seahawks quarterback Matt Flynn shortly, according to National Football League sources.
The Raiders had been talking to Seattle about him recently, as had the Buffalo Bills and Jacksonville Jaguars. The Seahawks are looking to move Flynn's $5 million salary and give him a chance to start elsewhere, the sources said.
Oakland is looking for options to replace Carson Palmer, who is to make $13 million for 2013 and has balked at a pay cut. Once Palmer is released, the Arizona Cardinals are expected to have interest in him.
