Provocative License Plate Spotted In Danville Could Make You Blush
DANVILLE (CBS SF) -- After KPIX 5 first reported an obscene license plate slipping through the DMV's censors, a viewer found another one that's blush-worthy.
It's a word that caught Susan Bernstein's eye as she was driving around Danville.
"A large SUV with a license plate that says priapism," is what Bernstein said she found, which means "an erection that lasts more than four hours."
It's spelled a bit differently, but it's still recognizable.

"I thought maybe there's some other word and that's when I typed it in the search engine and that was the only answer I got up," Bernstein said. "No pun intended!"
She laughs, but Bernstein wasn't amused. "It was right in my face and it wasn't what I expected to see on a license plate," she said.
She took a couple of pictures of the plate in order to ask DMV, "how could this get by?"
"It was a little out of bounds even for me and I have a pretty good sense of humor," Bernstein said.
KPIX 5 tracked down the license plate's owner. He didn't want to go on camera, but showed us the plate in person.
It turns out, he meant every letter because it was supposed to be a joke.
It was originally on his Lamborghini and at the time the owner wanted all to know, that driving four hours in this, would get you one of the things written on his license plate.
If you want to report license plates you feel are offensive, you have to write a letter to the DMV explaining why.
