Protest Turns Violent In SF Castro Store Over Sodastream Products
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- A protest in a store in San Francisco's Castro District turned ugly when the group was met by angry employees.
Protesters arrived in Cliff's Variety in the city's Castro District to voice their displeasure with the store for selling Sodastream products, according to an article in SFist.com.
The holiday caroling activists went into the store for a peaceful protest, but when management asked the protesters to leave, and they refused, things turned violent.
In a video of the protest posted on YouTube, store employees can be seen aggressively shoving protesters toward the door, and out onto the street.
The protesters had been protesting at the Cliff's store over Sodastream for years, according to the article.
