Dispute Over Price May Have Led To San Francisco JewelryMart Slayings
SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS) — An Antioch man is facing 16 felony counts for a deadly rampage in San Francisco last week that killed two women and wounded a store owner. Prosecutors have also revealed a possible motive in the case.
The shooting and stabbing incident happened around 2 p.m. Friday at the San Francisco GiftCenter and JewelryMart on Brannan Street in the city's South of Market neighborhood.
23-year-old suspect Barry White made his first court appearance in connection with the case on Tuesday, but his arraignment was put off until July 24th.

San Francisco District Attorney George Gascon said Tuesday that he has never seen surveillance footage of a murder in such graphic detail in his entire career.
"He tries to shoot, the gun is empty. He dumps the gun and then he proceeds to knife her. He slashes her throat. We can actually see her going down to the ground and you can actually see her dying," Gascon said.
The 50-year-old owner of Victoga Inc. jewelry store remained hospitalized on Tuesday, but is expected to survive.
Prosecutor Scott Clarke said it appeared the bloodshed happened over a dispute about a purchase made by White.
"The difference between what he was seeking and what the store owner was willing to give was less than $300," he said.
White is facing two murder charges, seven counts of attempted murder, six counts of assaults with a deadly weapon on police officers and one count of possession of an assault weapon. He is being held without bail.
