Poll Favors State Dems
SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. (KCBS)- A new poll has good news for Democrats Barbara Boxer and Jerry Brown who are running for the U.S. Senate and California's governorship, respectively.
The Reuters-Ipsos poll out today has Boxer up by 45 to 41 percent over GOP Senate challenger, former HP CEO Carly Fiorina. In the governor's race, the poll has Attorney General Brown ahead of his challenger, former eBay CEO Meg Whitman, 45 to 39 percent.
The same poll finds registered voters near-evenly split when it comes to Prop 19 that would legalize recreational use of marijuana. The numbers there show 50 percent oppose while 48 percent are in favor.
The survey polled 600 registered voters and has a plus or minus four percent error margin.
