1 Arrested As Police Serve Search Warrant At Hells Angels Clubhouse In San Francisco
SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS) – San Francisco police conducted a search at the Hells Angels clubhouse in San Francisco's Dogpatch neighborhood on Wednesday morning.
San Francisco Police Chief Greg Suhr tells KCBS the search warrant involves an investigation into a felony aggravated assault.
Charles Nucci, 42, was arrested around 5 a.m. by members of the Police Department's gang task force during a raid at the clubhouse.
Police executed the search warrant and took Nucci into custody on aggravated assault charges stemming from an attack that occurred last year.
In that incident, several suspects wearing Hells Angels jackets seriously injured a person in San Francisco, according to police.
Police initially said Nucci was 32, however Chief Deputy Sheriff Kathy Gorwood said he is 42.
He was released several hours after his arrest on $175,000 bail, according to Gorwood.
The building is located at 23rd and Tennessee streets. San Francisco police spokesman Albie Esparza said the search warrant was served at 5:00 a.m. by the SFPD Gang Task Force and that one person was taken into custody.
That location is where the "Frisco" local chapter of the club is based.
Police have not given details on exactly what they were looking in the building, but said the investigation is active and ongoing.
