Car May Provide Clues In Case Of Missing Hayward Woman
HAYWARD (KCBS) -- Hayward police are asking for the public's help in finding a nursing student, who went missing from a Hayward hospital on Friday.
26-year-old Michelle Le was last seen on Friday night at Kaiser Hospital, where she was taking a class.
"At about 7 o'clock, the class took a break," said Hayward Police Lieutenant Roger Keener. "She grabbed her keys and her phone and explained that she was going to go out to her car and she never returned."
Keener said Le told many of her classmates that she was planning to drive to Reno after the class.
Investigators found her car parked a few blocks from the hospital and have not been able to contact her since.
"Our investigators have made several calls into her cell phone, which have all gone unanswered," said Keener. "What we don't know is if she currently has power to her phone or if the phone is turned off."
Le is described as 5 feet 6 inches tall with black hair and brown eyes. Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to call the Hayward police at (510) 293-7000.
