Police Seek Help In Mountain View Home Invasion Robbery, Beating
MOUNTAIN VIEW (BCN) - Mountain View police are asking residents to help them solve a home invasion robbery that happened three months ago.
Detectives are hoping someone in the community may have information about the robbery, which occurred on Sept. 14 in the 1300 block of Phyllis Avenue.
Around 8:30 a.m. that day, two masked men barged into the home of a 72-year-old man and tied up both him and his 44-year-old in-home nurse, police said.
They ransacked the home and severely beat the elderly man, police said. The man was taken to a hospital with serious injuries.
They also hit the nurse, who suffered minor injuries.
Before fleeing the home, the men grabbed a large sum of cash and two rare handguns, .46- and .50-caliber stainless-steel revolvers, police said.
They were described as light-skinned white or Hispanic men in their early 20s. One was short and thin and the other was taller and heavily built.
Anyone with information about the crime is asked to contact the Police Department at (650) 903-6395.
