Police Seek Help In Finding South Bay Bank Robbery Suspect
SAN JOSE (CBS SF) - San Jose police were asking for the public's help in identifying a man they believe robbed two Santa Clara County banks in the last month and attempted to rob a third.
Investigators believe the man robbed a U.S. Bank at 1099 Lincoln Ave. in San Jose's Willow Glen neighborhood on Aug. 28 and a U.S. Bank in Sunnyvale on Sept. 5.
In both cases, the man entered the banks, demanded money and took off running with the stolen cash, police said.
KCBS' Mike Colgan Reports:
Police said the same man also entered a U.S. Bank in Sunnyvale on Aug. 27, but attracted attention for acting suspiciously and did not rob the bank.
He is described as a white man who weighs about 190 pounds and stands 6 feet tall. He is between 25 and 30 years of age.
