Police Release Sketch Of Suspect In Palo Alto Post Office Robbery
PALO ALTO (CBS SF) -- Police released an artist's rendering Saturday of a suspect in an armed robbery at a Palo Alto post office earlier this week.
The robbery occurred a short time after midnight on Tuesday in the parking lot of the post office at 2085 E. Bayshore Road, according to police.
Police said a married couple in their 50s had dropped of some mail and was walking to their car when two suspects, including one armed with a gun, approached and demanded the man and woman's property.
The husband handed over his wallet and the suspects fled.
Police this morning released a sketch of the suspect who was armed with a handgun during the robbery.
Police said he is described as a black man, about 30 years old, standing 6 feet tall and weighing 200 pounds.
The second suspect, who was unarmed, was described as a black man between 20 and 30 years old who is about 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs roughly 170 pounds, according to police.
