Police Release Sketch Of Man Who Tried To Kidnap Pinole 12-Year-Old
PINOLE (CBS SF) - Police have released a sketch of a man who attempted to kidnap a 12-year-old girl in Pinole on Friday afternoon.
The girl was walking home from school in the 1100 block of Appian Way around 2:30 p.m. when a man leaning against the trunk of a silver four-door car parked in a driveway asked her if she wanted a ride, Pinole police said.
The girl said she did not, and the man then grabbed her wrist, according to police.
She was able to pull her arm free and run home, and was not injured, police said. Her parents called police at about 4:15 p.m. to report the incident.
The suspect is described a white man about 19 or 20 years old standing about 6 feet tall with a thin build. He had short, black slicked-back hair, a brown goatee and a piercing in his right eyebrow, police said.
He was wearing a white T-shirt, black jeans, and black work-type boots, police said.
Anyone with information about the case is asked to call Pinole police at (510) 724-8950.
