Police Make Arrest In Shooting Outside Daly City Theater
DALY CITY (AP) -- Daly City police have made an arrest in connection with the shooting of a pregnant woman and two others outside a movie theater over the weekend.
A Daly City police spokesman says 18-year-old Andrew Lovell Covarrubias was arrested after a chase on rooftops and through backyards near the 4400 block of Market St. in San Francisco around 2 p.m. Tuesday.
Police had been looking for a suspect since Friday night when a gunman started shooting after one of the victims bumped into him outside the Century Theaters.
Police say each of the victims, including an infant prematurely delivered by the pregnant woman, are expected to survive.
Covarrubias was being held on suspicion of three counts of attempted murder and weapons violations. It's not known if he had retained an attorney.
