Police Investigating Rare Milpitas Murder

MILPITAS (CBS SF) - Milpitas police are investigating the murder of a 43-year-old man on Monday, the city's first homicide of the year.

Officers found the man suffering from a gunshot wound in the 1400 block of South Main Street around 3:50 a.m., according to police.

He was taken to a hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

The man is a resident of Milpitas, but his name has not yet been released.

No arrests have been made in connection with the killing and the motive has not yet been determined, Lt. Steven Petrakovitz said.
