Bomb Squad Investigates Suspicious Packages At Santa Cruz Bank
SANTA CRUZ (CBS) -- Officers were investigating suspicious packages spotted in a Bank of the West in Santa Cruz late Saturday morning, according to the Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Office.
Police received calls of the packages at the bank, located at 1551 Pacific Ave., at about 11 a.m. and dispatched a bomb squad to the location, according to the sheriff's office.
Traffic was rerouted near the 1500 block of Pacific Avenue, and impacted locations include Front, Water, Center, and Mission streets, police said.
Just after noon, officers estimated traffic would be impacted for up to three hours while the situation is assessed.
