Police ID Suspect In East Bay Stabbing
PLEASANTON (CBS SF) -- Police have identified Jesse Serpa, 33, of Livermore as a suspect in connection with the stabbing of a Livermore man at a Pleasanton apartment complex Wednesday night.
At 9 p.m. on Wednesday police dispatchers received a report of a stabbing at 3819 Vineyard Avenue in Pleasanton.
Officers arrived at the apartment complex and located a 30-year-old victim with a single stab wound to his chest.
Initial reports on the incident indicated that two men were arguing and started fighting. During the fight, reports suggest that the suspect produced a knife and stabbed the victim once before fleeing the scene on foot, police said.
The victim was taken to Eden Medical Center with an injury not considered to be life threatening.
Police have released a photo of Serpa and are seeking any information that may lead to his arrest.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Pleasanton police at (925) 931-5100.
