Police Attacked During Arrest Of Suspect For Credit Card Fraud Attempt In San Bruno Target Store
SAN BRUNO (CBS SF) -- Police on Monday arrested one of two suspects allegedly involved in a credit card fraud attempt and subsequent assault on an officer at a San Bruno department store.
Stone Joshua, 20, of Antioch, was arrested on suspicion of assault likely to cause serious injury, assault on a peace officer, resisting arrest and credit card fraud, police said.
Officers responded to the Target at 1150 El Camino Real at 3:44 p.m. on a report of a fraud and located the two suspects.
Both suspects fled from officers on foot and into a nearby J.C. Penney store, police said.
While in the store, one of the suspects, identified as Joshua, threw a glass display table at an officer and punched the officer in the face, police said.
Joshua was then taken into custody.
The officer suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene.
Police are still searching for a second suspect described as an African American female, 25 to 30 years old and weighing about 150 pounds.
