Antioch School Lockdown Lifted After Nearby Police Activity
ANTIOCH (CBS SF) - An Antioch elementary school was locked down for about an hour Friday because of police activity in the area, school officials said.
Police advised staff at Carmen Dragon Elementary School, located at 4721 Vista Grande Drive, to place the school under lockdown around 11 a.m. due to potentially dangerous activity in the area, Principal Scott Bergerhouse said.
The principal said all classrooms were locked and all students were safe and accounted for.
The lockdown was then lifted around noon.
School officials said they were not told what the police activity involved, and police were not immediately available to provide more information about the incident.
