Pit Bulls Attack Woman, Kill Dog In San Jose
SAN JOSE (CBS/AP) -- Authorities in San Jose were looking for two pit bulls that attacked a woman and killed her dog.
Dawn Marcia Wilson said that she and her dog—a 100-pound husky mix—were out in Cataldi Park after midnight on Thursday when the pit bulls appeared.
The 66-year-old Wilson said they bit her dog, "Shadow," and grabbed the animal by its throat. When she tried to pull them off, the pit bulls bit her.
KCBS' Matt Bigler Reports:
The attack lasted for about 20 to 30 minutes before the pit bulls scampered off.
A veterinarian recommended Shadow be euthanized. Wilsonwas treated for cuts to her face.
One of the pit bulls was described as tan-colored; the other as black.
