Pesticide Spill Closes Lanes Of I-680 In San Jose
SAN JOSE (CBS SF) - Several lanes of southbound Interstate Highway 680 in San Jose were blocked Monday morning as crews cleaned up pesticides spilled in a crash, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash, which was reported at 8:15 a.m. just north of South King Road, involved three vehicles including a truck carrying pesticides.
Only minor injuries were reported, but an estimated 25 gallons of pesticides spilled in the crash, and a hazardous materials crew has been called to the scene, CHP Officer John Short said.
