Pedestrian Killed In San Jose Highway Crash ID'd
SAN JOSE (CBS SF) -- A pedestrian who was fatally struck on a San Jose highway connector ramp Friday morning has been by the Santa Clara County coroner's office as 26-year-old Petros Ketema.
A multi-vehicle collision was reported on the connector ramp from northbound Interstate Highway 280 to southbound state Highway 87 at about 5 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
Ketema, of San Jose, who was in the area at the time of the crash, was hit by a vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene, the CHP said.
The connector ramp and the slow lane were closed for nearly two hours after the crash.
