Pedestrian Dies In Crash Involving Garbage Truck On I-80 In San Francisco
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- A pedestrian died from her injuries Friday morning after being struck by a truck on eastbound Interstate Highway 80 near 7th Street in San Francisco.
All eastbound lanes of I-80 were closed for about an hour after the truck struck the woman according to the California Highway Patrol. The crash was reported around 5:30 a.m.
The pedestrian was transported to San Francisco General Hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries the CHP said.
