Passenger Traffic At Mineta San Jose Airport Up
SAN JOSE (KCBS) -- At Mineta San Jose international Airport, passenger traffic in September was up almost two percent from the same month a year ago.
"The good news is that we're coming back," said airport spokesman Dave Vossbrink. "We're hopeful that this means we're on the right path to recovery. We're seeing business travel coming back."
He said as an independent business, the airport depends on passenger activity and airline business to pay its bills.

Vossbrink said the latest numbers continue the positive trend in passenger traffic that they've seen the last few months. He thinks there are several reasons for it.
"We have a beautiful airport that's been in service now for a full year," he said. "People are rediscovering San Jose and Silicon Valley as a great place to do business."
San Francisco's airport saw an almost four percent increase in passenger traffic in August while Oakland reported a four and a half percent decline.
