Pair Robbed, Carjacked In SF After Trying To Stop Playground Fight
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) - A man and a woman were carjacked after attempting to stop a fight in the parking lot of a playground in San Francisco's Excelsior neighborhood on Wednesday night, police said.
The 32-year-old woman and 30-year-old man were getting into their blue four-door sedan in the parking lot of the Crocker Amazon Playground near South Hill Boulevard and Geneva Avenue just before 9 p.m. when they saw three people fighting, police said.
One of the people involved in the fight, a 25-year-old man, then pulled a gun on the victims and demanded that they get out of the car, according to police.
He and another person who had been in the fight—a second 25-year-old man—then got into the car and drove away, police said. The suspects also took money and a cellphone from the victims.
