Pacifica Stabbing Leaves Victim Critical; Suspect Arrested
PACIFICA (BCN) -- A stabbing in Pacifica on Monday night left one man in critical condition and another man in San Mateo County Jail on attempted murder charges, Pacifica police said.
Officers responded to Santa Rosa Avenue in western Pacifica just before 10 p.m. Monday after a caller reported that someone had been stabbed there, Sgt. Dave Barranti said.
Police arrived to find a 39-year-old man suffering from multiple stab wounds, Barranti said. The victim was treated at the scene then taken to San Francisco General Hospital, Barranti said.
Hospital staff told police that the victim's wounds were serious and potentially life-threatening, Barranti said.
An investigation into the stabbing led police to 37-year-old Pacifica resident Arthur John Armstrong, who was found near the crime scene and arrested, Barranti said.
Armstrong was booked into San Mateo County Jail for attempted murder, Barrati said.
