Pacifica Man Arrested In Bay Area Burglary Spree
SAN RAFAEL (AP) - Authorities have arrested a 42-year-old Pacifica man suspected of stealing thousands of necklaces, electronics and other items during a burglary spree spanning three counties.
Brian Wayne Lima was expected to appear in Marin Superior Court on Thursday. His attorney, Jon Rankin, says he will plead not guilty to three felony burglary counts and a felony charge of possession of stolen property.
Lima was arrested at his apartment in Pacifica on Friday after a burglary in San Rafael that was interrupted by the home's resident.
San Rafael police Detective Scott Eberle told the Marin Independent Journal investigators found more than 5,000 stolen items at Lima's home. They suspect him of involvement in three San Rafael burglaries, an attempted burglary in San Rafael, and burglaries in Mill Valley, Pleasanton and Millbrae.
