Overcast Day Not Keeping Giants Fans Down; AT&T Park Awash In Orange And Black
SAN FRANCICO (KCBS)— AT&T Park and its surrounding areas were awash in a sea of orange and black as hopeful fans descended upon San Francisco in anticipation of an NLCS Game 3 win for the Giants.
The Giants are taking on the St. Louis Cardinals in an afternoon game. The overcast day was nothing to fans like Trumel Henson, who headed to the game with his wife, Casela Marie and his three-year-old.
"It's very important [Tim] Hudson is going to do his job. You got [Hunter] Pence back there. It's a really important game for the whole team. It's just going to take a group effort for the whole team," he said.
A gray-haired woman who walked past the KCBS news car held a sign that read: "Hunter Pence Walks Old Ladies Across The Street".
Diane Tomacello, an elderly homeless woman, was in her regular place north of the ball park with her other sign: "Homeless and Hungry, Please Help". She also happened to have orange hair.
She was actually going for an auburn color when she died her hair.
"I left it in an hour and a half too long. So I said 'What the hell? I'm a Giants fans now. My hair is orange'," she said.
Orange is certainly the color of the day with the Giants taking on the Cardinals.
