Outages In East Bay, South Bay Leave More Than 1500 Homes Without Power
RICHMOND (CBS SF ) -- A pair of outages left more than 1,500 customers without power in Richmond, El Cerrito and Redwood City, a PG&E spokesman said.
An electrical wire went down at 3300 Regatta Blvd. in Richmond at 11 a.m., leaving 1,050 customers in Richmond and El Cerrito without power, spokesman JD Guidi said.
PG&E technicians repaired most of the damage, and as of 1:50 p.m., only 29 customers are waiting for their power to be restored, Guidi said.
There is no estimated time when the remaining customers will have their power back, he said.
The Redwood City outage affected 522 customers, Guidi said.
The cause of the outage, which began at 12:06 p.m., remains under investigation, Guidi said. There is no timetable when the power will be restored, he said.
