Orinda Teen Shares A Dance With Bruce Springsteen
ORINDA (CBS SF) -- You'll have to forgive Orinda teen Boo Dewitt for smiling so much when asked about the Bruce Springsteen concert at the Oracle Arena in Oakland.
Her father, Jason, has been a Springsteen fan since his father took him to concert when he was 14. So when he read about Springsteen's current The River Tour coming to Oakland, he decided share a similar experience with Boo.
"After I saw my first show, I went and emptied out my bank account and bought all his albums," Jason told KCBS. "It was a transformational experience."
While a father-daughter outing is always memoriable, it was what happened during it that will forever be etched in Boo's mind.
During the playing 'Dancing in the Dark,' Springsteen saw Boo holding a sign that read -- "My Name Is Boo I Want To Dance With U."
Springsteen pulled her onstage and she did a little "Dab" and "Nae Nae" with him.
"I was just pretty much in shock the whole time," she told KCBS.
In a Thank You letter to Springsteen, Boo said the experience has changed her life.
"After I dabbed, he dabbed," she said.
The special moment didn't end there.
"The next song he gave me his harmonica," she said. "It was really cool. It was the perfect cherry on top of that sundae."
