On Halloween Night In Bay Area You Find Plenty Of Cops, Free Candy
SAN FRANCISCO (KPIX 5) -- Boo! Keep it safe and sweet this Halloween night.
Halloween is not just for kids, of course, and that's what police are worried about. They think for many it's amateur hour.
"We will be in all the traditional club corridors where there have been celebrations in the past," said SF Police Chief Greg Suhr. "We want to facilitate a really good time."
Cops in every Bay Area city are warning they will be out in force tonight in their uniforms. They aren't costumes.
The CHP Tweeted:"Plan ahead if you're going to drink tonight. Unlike may people who will be in costume, we won't - our handcuffs are real."
Another one said, "avoid the tricks, and enjoy the treats."

On the lighter side this Halloween night, candy is king, especially over at the Candy Store in the city's Polk Gulch.
"We sell candy from all over the world," says owner Dianne Campbell. ."
So tonight is also amateur hour for Campbell, who has owned the Candy Store for nine years, and has given out free candy on Halloween every year.
"Because I love my customers and I love the kids and I want to thank them because they are so loyal," says Campbell. "They are growing up with us. I love the kids. I love the families."
And her customers love her for it.
