Oil Sheen Vanishes At San Francisco's Aquatic Park
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) - An oil slick reported Tuesday morning at San Francisco's Aquatic Park has disappeared, a Coast Guard spokesman said.
The National Park Service investigated the sheen, which was reported at 6:53 a.m. in the water near Fisherman's Wharf, but was not able to determine the source, Petty Office Levi Read said.
The oil slick had evaporated by 10:20 a.m., and no further action will be taken, Read said.
No injuries were reported, and no wildlife was affected.
