Suspect Arrested In San Jose Wells Fargo Robbery Following Search
SAN JOSE (KCBS) — A bank robbery suspect in San Jose has been taken into custody following a police and canine search, according to authorities.
Officers had been searching for a man in his 30s who robbed the Wells Fargo Bank at 191 Branham Lane near Snell Avenue, threatened a teller and demanded money, police spokesman Sgt. Jason Dwyer said.
The robbery happened at about 1:10 p.m. The suspect fled the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash, Dwyer said.
San Jose police have sent officers from the department's MERGE, canine and robbery units to the area to search for the suspect, Dwyer said.
"A gentleman entered the bank, passed a note to the teller along with a paper bag demanding money, fled the bank with an undisclosed amount of money, fled into an apartment complex we believe, just south of here," Police Lieutenant Paul Francois said.

The cash has been recovered according to police. The suspect didn't have a weapon and he cooperated with investigators, police said.
