Oakland Woman Accused Of Abusing 2-Year-Old Daughter

OAKLAND (BCN) -- A woman was arrested in Oakland Friday afternoon after her 2-year-old daughter was found suffering from multiple injuries, police said.

Officers responded around 2:20 p.m. to a report of a 45-year-old woman screaming at 3109 Lynde St., police said.

Upon arrival, they found the woman crying and discovered her daughter inside the home suffering from multiple injuries.

The child was taken to Oakland Children's Hospital, police said.

Her injuries are not expected to be life threatening.

Child Protective Services is working with police to determine where the girl should be taken after she is released from the hospital.

The woman was arrested on suspicion of child abuse, police said.
