Police Arrest Suspects Who Fled Oakland McDonald's Shooting

OAKLAND (CBS SF) -- Police in Oakland detained two people in connection with a shooting that took place near a McDonald's restaurant Sunday morning, police said.

An alert citizen tipped officers that the suspects' car had been spotted on Richmond Boulevard at around noon, according to Oakland police.

Officers located the vehicle and detained a man and woman who matched a description of the suspects, police said.

Officers also recovered a gun that was believed to have been used in Sunday morning's shooting, police said.

The suspects' names were not released.

Police had sent out a detailed description of the 1990 Infiniti seen leaving the scene of the shooting, which took place near a McDonald's restaurant at 45th Street and Telegraph Avenue at around 9:30 a.m., according to Oakland police.

One male victim was wounded and is expected to survive, police said.
