Oakland Shooting Leaves 1 Man Dead
OAKLAND (BCN) -- A man was fatally shot in Oakland Friday night, a police spokesman said Saturday.
Lamont Smith, 33, was killed in a shooting reported shortly before 8:25 p.m. Friday at the intersection of 65th Avenue and International Boulevard, Oakland police Officer Jeff Thomason said.
Officers responded to find Smith suffering from a gunshot wound.
He was pronounced dead at the scene, Thomason said.
No arrests have been made in connection with the shooting, he said.
Thomason said there were two other non-fatal shootings in Oakland overnight but he did not have any details about the cases as of 10 a.m. Saturday.
