Oakland Raiders Select Pryor In NFL Supplemental Draft
OAKLAND (KCBS) – The Oakland Raiders selected troubled former Ohio State University quarterback Terrelle Pryor in the third round of Monday's National Football League supplemental draft.
With the selection, the team will forfeit the 18th pick in the third round of the 2012 NFL Draft.
Pryor was granted eligibility into the draft last week by the league. But that was on the agreement that he would not be eligible to play or practice for the team that selected him until Week 6 this season.
Pryor worked out this past weekend in front of 17 teams.
The highly-recruited quarterback was just finishing his junior season in Columbus when it was revealed that he and other players traded Ohio State memorabilia for cash and discounted tattoos. Head coach Jim Tressel knew about the benefits and was forced out of his job in May. Pryor left a short time later.
Pryor's agent Drew Rosenhaus said he is hopeful that his client will have a contract in place by the end of Monday.
It is still uncertain what Pryor's position will be in the pros.
