Oakland Power Pole Crash Cuts Power To Hundreds
OAKLAND (CBS SF) -- PG&E crews were repairing a utility pole in Oakland that was struck by a vehicle early Thursday morning, initially knocking out power to 668 PG&E customers, a PG&E spokeswoman said.
The incident began around 3 a.m. Thursday morning when a vehicle hit a utility pole near the intersection of D Street and 85th Avenue, PG&E spokeswoman Jana Morris said.
As of 5 a.m. only 61 customers remained without power, Morris said.
