10-Year-Old Boy Sexually Assaulted In Oakland; $7,500 Reward Offered For Information
OAKLAND (CBS SF) – Oakland police are looking for a man suspected of sexually assaulting a 10-year-old boy on Tuesday afternoon near Elmhurst Park in East Oakland.
The victim told police he was walking in the 1100 block of 98th Avenue at about 3:00 p.m. when he was approached by a stranger. He said the suspect lured him to a nearby area and sexually assaulted him.
Police said the suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 40-50 years old, 5'7", with a slender build, tan complexion, short salt and pepper hair and a full beard. He was last seen wearing a brown leather jacket and dark pants. He is described as having an unkempt appearance and possibly loiters in the area.
Investigators are working with the victim regarding a possible sketch of the suspect.
Crime Stoppers of Oakland is offering a reward of up to $7,500 for information leading to the arrest of the suspect in the case.
