OAKLAND (CBS SF) -- Police seized a large quantity of marijuana, confiscated four guns and arrested a 33-year-old man during a raid at an apartment near an Oakland elementary school, authorities said.
Oakland police spokeswoman Johnna Watson said police served a search warrant Thursday night after they received information that the man was growing and selling marijuana from his residence in the 700 Block of Brooklyn Avenue near Cleveland Elementary School.
Watson said city and school police officers who served the warrant discovered 15 to 20 pounds of marijuana that was ready for sale, 260 marijuana plants, an assault rifle with a 90-round capacity drum, a shotgun and two pistols, one of which was reported stolen in Oklahoma City in March 2010.
She said that during their investigation police discovered that the suspect was shipping marijuana to Milwaukee.
