Oakland House Fire Sends One To Hospital
OAKLAND (CBS SF) -- A one-alarm structure fire that burned one person and displaced six others from their home was under control within a half-hour late Saturday night, a dispatcher at the Oakland Fire Department said.
Firefighters extinguished the fire at 62nd Street and San Pablo Avenue at about 10:30 p.m., a fire dispatcher said.
The Oakland Fire Department first responded to reports of the fire at about 10 p.m., the dispatcher said.
The burn victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment, the dispatcher said.
The amount of damage to the home is unknown and investigators have not released the cause of the fire.
