Oakland Bystanders Narrowly Miss Bullets From 2 Shootings
OAKLAND (CBS SF) -- Several victims narrowly avoided gunfire in East Oakland Friday night, including one incident where a shooter fired 27 rounds at two vehicles and a house, police said.
A man was fired at in the 500 block of High Street at 11 p.m. Friday by two male suspects, according to Oakland police. He was not injured.
At 12:26 a.m. Saturday, a suspect fired 27 rounds at two vehicles and a house in the 2100 block of 50th Avenue.
The suspect was likely firing at someone, police said, but no one was hit by the gunfire.
The two shootings occurred hours after Oakland's 47th homicide of the year: one victim was shot and killed in the 2000 block of 96th Avenue at 9:44 p.m.
No suspects were in custody for the shootings.
