Oakland: 4 People Shot In 2 Separate Shootings
OAKLAND (CBS SF) Four people were shot in two separate shootings in Oakland Saturday morning, an officer said.
The first shooting was reported at about 2:35 a.m., Officer J. Moore said.
Police responded to a report of a shooting in the 10500 block of MacArthur Boulevard and found three people suffering from gunshot wounds, Moore said.
One person is in critical condition, another suffered minor injuries and the third victim's injuries are unknown, according to Moore.
About 20 minutes later, at 2:55 a.m., officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 1700 block of 88th Avenue, Moore said.
Officers arrived to find one male victim suffering from a gunshot wound, Moore said.
The male was transported to a hospital and is in stable condition, he said.
No suspects were apprehended in either shooting, Moore said.
Both shootings are under investigation.
Earlier in the morning, police responded to a report of a shooting in the area of 30th and Chestnut streets. That ultimately was determined to be a robbery and not a shooting, Moore said.
Details of the robbery were not immediately available.
