Oakdale Soccer Coach Sentenced For Rape Of Teen Girl
OAKDALE (CBS/AP) -- A California soccer coach has been sentenced to a year in jail for allegedly raping a 16-year-old girl after she fell asleep during a party at his home last year.
45-year-old Timothy Lyman pleaded no contest Tuesday to one count of rape of an unconscious person.
Authorities say Lyman was a soccer coach and the girl was one of his players. Lyman held a party at his house in December where teens were drinking alcohol.
The victim says she fell asleep and when she awoke she found Lyman having sex with her.
Lyman will be required to register as a sex offender and also received three years' probation once he finishes his time behind bars.
