'Nikita' Star Joins 'Divergent' Film
(CW69/Atlanta) - Casting has been fiercely underway for the film adaptation of Veronica Roth's YA novel "Divergent" — another dystopian franchise similar to the likes of "The Hunger Games," reports The Hollywood Reporter.
Shannon Woodley ("The Descendants") already signed onto the film as the lead. She plays Tris, a girl who lives in a world that's separated into factions based on human traits.
Maggie Q ("Nikita") has landed the role of Tori — a tattoo parlor owner from the Dauntless faction who becomes a mentor to Tris. Besides starring in CW's "Nikita," Maggie Q appeared in the 2011 film "Priest" opposite Paul Bettany.
Other actors attached to the "Divergent" include Ansel Elgort, who will be featured in his first film "Carrie" later this year, and Zoe Kravitz ("X-Men: First Class").
