Need A Flu Shot? Call Uber

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS-SF) – Local residents and workers who haven't had a chance to get a flu shot this year can simply call Uber on Thursday and a nurse and a shot with soon be at their door.

The Bay Area-based company firm is offering the service in more than 30 cities across the country including San Francisco.

Using the smartphone app, an Uber user can request a shot. A nurse will arrive in an Uber car to administer as many as 10 shots at the location.

The charge will be $10 not matter if the nurse administer one shot or 10.

The offer is good for one day only and will be available between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. To call for a shot all the user has to do is tap the option labeled "UberHealth" on the Uber app.

Last year, Uber unveiled the service in a handful of cities and more than 10,000 shots were administered.
