Narsai David Wine Review: Toad Hollow and Patz & Hall Wines
(KCBS) - KCBS Food and Wine Editor Narsai David reviews wines from Mendocino and Sonoma Counties.
Listen to Narsai's Review:
The 2009 Toad Hollow Unoaked Chardonnay from Mendocino County has very appealing tropical fruit aromas with a wet stony touch. Fine acidity, and none of that oaky, buttery, alcoholic touch of the common oaked wine. $14.99

Patz & Hall's 2008 Jenkins Ranch Pinot Noir from the Sonoma Coast has lots of spice and a berry bramble. Bright fruit with a touch of cedar. The oak background is a perfect balance. I'm really impressed with this wine. An elegant finish with a high alcohol, and one that I'd love to age a few years. $45.00
