Muni Boss May Leave SF For Job In Washington D.C.
SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS) -- The man in charge of San Francisco's Muni may soon be moving to the East Coast.
Nat Ford, chief executive officer of the SF Municipal Transportation Agency, is in the running to be the head of the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority. The move would put him in charge of running the two main airports In Washington, D.C.

Ford has no aviation experience, but Adam Tuss, who follows D.C. transit issues for CBS Radio affiliate WTOP, said the airport is building a 23 mile transit extension from downtown to Dulles Airport.
"Whenever one of these jobs pops up, Nat Ford's name seems to come up a lot," said Tuss who has had conversations about Ford with transportation executives.
Ford may have trouble explaining a $75,000 tax lien originally reported by The Washington Post. According to the report, the lien stems from unpaid taxes last year. Meanwhile, Muni leaders have said they are well aware about the tax lien and Ford's job search.
